Brazil and other Portuguese speaking countries have agreed on a unified spelling. In Brazil, the timeline for full implementation is 2009 to 2012, and from 2009 both old and new spelling is valid.
How are you proposing implementing this new spelling in your products?
1) Use new spelling from now on and leave legacy material as is?
2) Use new spelling from now on and update all legacy material to match it? |

| Even though the law provides for a transition period in which both the old and new spelling can coexist, it is Common Sense Advisory’s recommendation that companies adopt the new spelling right away. Leading Brazilian media outlets and companies like Google and Microsoft already follow the new rules. |
